Kara is humbled and grateful to Damien and Nicole for the opportunity to be a member of The GEM Theatre staff. She came to the theater in 2019 and is thankful for the recommendation by her vocal mentor, Beth Hansen, joining the productions of Beauty and the Beast, Guys and Dolls, and Chorus Line, working behind the scenes assisting with costume dressing and events, and finding a home with a tremendous and supportive theater family. She is a triple threat trained performer and has provided entertainment throughout the United States, Canada, Australia, Europe, the Disney Parks, Knott’s Berry Farm, the US Capitol, and the Sydney Opera House. Other stage credits include Anything Goes, Joseph, Crazy for You, Spelling Bee, Grease, Shrek, and All Together Now. At the age of 10 Kara was a member of the Children’s Chorus in the National Broadway tour of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. Kara worked as an Assistant Program Director, Choreographer, and Music Director for a local children’s theater, and recently worked as a personal assistant to entertainer Todrick Hall. She has a double degree in Photography and Theater Arts from Orange Coast College and is frequently seen as a professional photographer at various stage productions and events such as the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and Musical Theater Competitions of America.
